Last year my dude D.Stone called me and asked me to come by so he could "play me some stuff"..as usual it was cool but he did as he normally does and shows up with other people that i don't know..LOL...(i can't stand that!!) but this one time it was a really good thing cause that's when I met The Mr. Real laid back cat from Gainesville, Fl..laid back until he starts talking about his passion for music...homie got it all figured out from all the album titles to his artwork to the videos and everything..LOL..now at first it's amusing until you hear the actual music...this dude really does his thing and is multi talented as well..we already have on full project completed together and working on more....so with no further ado....The Mr.

When Tha Mr walks into a room – he commands and captivates everyone in it. Partially because of his different look but mostly for his drive and devotion. Tha Mr learned at an early age as the only boy out of three children, that he would have to entertain himself, little did he know in the process he would also entertain others. His story unfolds much like his intricate rhymes that graciously bless each ear that is listening – intricate and complex. Humbly driven with an edge – he is not just another rapper. He beats to his own drum.
Growing up in Gainesville, FL Tha Mr was exposed to the best and worst of city life. The city would provide Tha Mr a passion for culture, music, and the outdoors. With that, he was blessed with an array of talents like; dancing, drawing and sports but it was his love of music that would soon take precedence over all. At the age of 11 when most were into the latest video games and patiently waiting for the newest pair of Jordans to drop, Tha Mr spent his time writing rhymes. By the age of 16 his love of writing had taken over and had developed to countless notebooks filled with his heart felt thoughts. Currently he is ready to take the world by storm from his prospective..
Born James Lee Jr, in Ft. Lauderdale, FL then soon after his family migrated and settled in Gainesville, FL. At the age of seven his parents were divorced which left him and his siblings to be raised in a single mother home. Being the only man in the house, his mother and grandmother began calling him Mister hence his current alias, Tha Mr. In 2000 after continuous encouragement from his mother, peers and his love of the game, Tha Mr entered local talent shows and freestyle contests which introduced him not only as the quiet shy kid but the hungry lyrical genius that had been hiding out in the corner pocket. He won those competitions and several more, eventually landing himself verses on local artists' projects. In 2001, he formed a group, ISO, with another aspiring artist, Tae Smooth. ISO had a local hit single, "Dem Dawgs," which led to them opening for major acts like: Lil' Wayne, Snoop Dogg, T.I. & Youngbloodz to name a few. They continued to perform and record but after a fail deal with an independent label, the group decided to part ways to pursue solo careers in 2003.
Tha Mr decided in order for his career to step up to the next level, he needed to make a move to where his talents could be seen on a larger scale and in front of industry heavyweights. In 2006, he along with his girlfriend and daughter made the transition from Florida to Atlanta, GA with one focus in mind, " To make my childhood dream into a reality," says Mr, followed by a smile. Since arriving in Atlanta, Mr has endured painful tragedies such as being homeless and sleeping in his car to being jobless with no money, to just wondering if the pursuit of being an artist was worth the struggle. On August 24th 2007, his faith was put to the test when his girlfriend and daughter passed away. With writing and rhyming being his outlet, two days later after their passing, he recorded the song, "Ultimate Victory" which is featured on his up and coming debut album "Tha Xperience." The song is an inspirational classic that speaks on the tragedy and inspires listeners to "...Move on the Lord's time..." Since their passing, Tha Mr. has vowed to never quit and to let god lead him on this journey. No longer a bashful youngster from around the way, Tha Mr. is a humble man that's hungry for victory – stay tuned

The BE STRONG LP COLLABORATORS..KHZPRO Produced "Forever"

Back in 99 I was at work on the computer checking out this recent discovery of mine called the internet. As I was playing around with a couple search engines typing in Hip Hop and seeing what came up I somehow stumbled on a web page that featured music by some guys named "infinite cycle" real dope...later on that year my homeboy Antwain (DJ Leffield) was telling me about his brother who also made beats...as the story goes.....Antwain pops in a cd and plays some of the tracks and I tell him I have heard this music before but don't know why.....he tellls me it's from his brothers group Infinite Cycle!!LOL!! True Story!...his brother of course is Killahurtz, one of the most gifted cats at capturing that "real" hip hop grittiness that I desperately needed to start my album off with......Over time me and Killa have gotten real cool and I consider him and his brother my extended family...he is definitely someone you need to know about..peep his bio and links below...

Killahurtz AKA KHZPRO AKA Lord Lamont, was born in Fayetteville, NC but was raised "A little bit of everywhere." A little bit of everywhere meaning that he was a military brat and moved from base to base as a child. While his family was stationed at SHAPE, Belgium, his father started DJ'ing and him and his brother followed suit. (Killahurtz's brother, DJ Leffield, currently spins at Viper Rooms in Harrogate, UK.) He and his brother would also make "stop" tapes with a dual deck boom box that sparked their interest in making music. Young Killahurtz would frequently abandon the usual staple of Saturday Morning Cartoons for kids his age for a chance at the turntables to scratch records like heard on tapes and cd's. He DJ'd his first adult club when he was in 8th grade. Long story short, the DJ that was spinning that night briefly stepped out of the DJ booth to kick some @ss and left the turntables wide open. Enter Lord Lamont.

Lord Lamont first began making music in 1998 with the group Infinite Cycle (Jock, Lord Lamont, Mike Chekk and Shorty Raw). From there the group released their debut album "Euphoria" in which he rapped and produced two songs. During this time he met Kevin Rachwell (Formerly know as Self Esteem, Gator, Dre Ellis, etc...) and Rock. Both of them were dope producers so he was able to learn tips and tricks from them easily. From there he honed his skills on a borrowed ASR X and a Yamaha RM1x of which his brother ordered to have shipped overseas but made an extended stop at Killahurtz's house. Later, he proceed to cop his own equipment, a Yamaha RS7000, to further his craft. He started producing songs for his friends and other local artists to build up his chops on the boards.

The next project that he worked on would be the debut solo album from Shorty Raw entitled "Magnum Opus" released by Domination Records. Some might not believe that this album took almost 8 years to create but it did. From recording, re-recording, a mishap with the Roland VS880 where all of the music was deleted, re-recording and life in general, the album took him on a journey. Over this time, he learned how to work side by side with an artist and Shorty Raw's style of music, which enabled him to produce about 85% of "Magnum Opus" while still producing for local artists.

His musical influences range from Drum N Bass to Rock to Jazz and everything else in between. His travels across the globe have made him a well rounded individual with an undeniable ear, wit and charm that can win over anyone. His humble, laid back demeanor and his crazy sense of humor are what people recognize him most for. Most importantly, his philosophy about music is love. It's all about the love. If you do it for the love, and show everybody love along your way, you'll never go wrong.

He is currently working with Shorty Raw on an EP to follow up 'Magnum Opus', an album with Stonez Valentine, an EP with Dumi Right from Zimbabwe Legit, and several other projects.

I got a random call from some dude back in 2004 asking me about a cd I put out two years earlier called "Still Dreamin"...I wasn't really sure how he got his hands on it cause I had since moved from where I released it locally. He was asking me if I was near by and if it was cool to link up. To be honest I thought this was the weirdest ishhh!LOL! I'm thinking to myself "who is this dude, and what does he want from me?"..but then the more we talked the name "Dilla" came up and it was a wrap!LOL!...yea lets link up bro!..flash forward two years later and we had released two albums as a production team for my former group "Grownman"..after that we went our separate ways creatively but remained good friends and cheered each other on as we both became successful producing for Japanese artists...flash forward another few years and we are both back in America doin our thing...Leak was definitely one of the cats who inspired me to record again and I will always be thankful for that...He sent me a couple of gems a while back that I held on to just in case I did. Malik Abdul-Rahmaan aka Leak hails from Dallas, Texas. Musical roots run deep in his family....his uncle is the soul singer Toussaint McCall, of "Nothing Takes the Place Of You" and "What Part Do I Play" fame. At a young age he forged a love for jazz, soul and hip hop and eventually picked up playing drums and percussion from his older brother. In 2002 he moved to Tokyo and was moved by the love and respect for hip hop, jazz and soul music that the Japanese exhibited. He began collecting records and learning as much as he could about the art of creating music. Flash forward two years and two albums later and Leak was beginning to make a name for himself in the Japanese Hip Hop scene, eventually amassing nearly 30 credits to his name in Japan. This year saw Leak return to his hometown of Dallas with the determination to put his city on the map, as well as solidify his imprint: Craftwork Records. Back in 05 when I lived in Tokyo my dude D.Stone sent me about 10 CDs worth of artists to listen to. With no instruction, just to listen when I had a chance....well about 5 months later I got around to it..LOL...what he didn't tell me was that some of the beats I sent over about a year earlier had been used by some of those artists...One of the stand out cuts was this joint called "love me all the way" and it featured a female with a husky voice, in my opinion kind of like Lady of Rage. When I listened closer I realized that this wasn't anything like that! I called him and asked who she was and he told me it was a artist our of Florida named Sashay. She was also diggin my tracks and had done some other things that he hadn't sent me yet. It would be a couple years later before I met her in person, but it didn't take long before we were knockin out joints left and right...This chick has an unbelievable flow! I threw this concept at her about forgiveness and she wrote it on the spot in the studio. Then she proceeded to get on the mic and absolutely kill it in one take. Back in 02 while I was in the Air Force living in Okinawa, Japan I sold studio time on the side...I was working on a project with this cat named Word Life (what up fam, wherever you are) when he brought over this guy he wanted to feature on one of his songs. Wizdom. Dude impressed me immediately with his intensity. Over time we built a dope relationship and started working on music together more often. Over the years no matter where we both were we always managed to link up now and then and do something classic. A couple years ago we both found ourselves in the Twilight Zone AKA Atlanta, Ga lookin for some good ole' fasion industry love..LOL....but while that story is still being written we have forged a chemistry like no other...Make sure you check for the new mixtape "Proof of Life"....I featured him on an unconventional track called "I Wish"..it's about giving..As usual he came thru and killed it..Mark my words, dude is gonna be seen as one of the best one day...."The following is brought to you by Facemusic"

I met Wise a while back thru my dude Killahurtz (profiled later this week) He told me there was a rapper I just had to meet. I am very particular about whom I let in my creative circle so I wasn't sure at first. But I trust Killa's judgement so I got with dude and we met up. If I had to use one word to describe our first meeting I would say it was IMPRESSIVE. Two things stood out to me about Wise..1. He was a really cool down to earth cat and it was easy to get along with him from jump. 2. He is incredibly talented and passionate about having a voice in the music business. While I was working on the project I really wanted to use his talents but I didn't know where to fit him in. I was about 10 songs deep and it was starting to weigh heavy on me to call on him. I never do music just to do it so I trusted the idea would come to me...And it did!! I wanted to do a song addressing women in a different way. THE BE STRONG LP COLLABORATORS...Bobby Creekwater is featured on the song "Miracle"

I met Creek almost two years ago thru another producer named Dre Ellis. My man Killahurtz (to be profiled later this week) played some of my music for him around the time Dre and Creek were working on some stuff together. Long story short Creek liked a few of the beats and the rest is history. Creek was the first signed artist to give me a shot since I got back to America from Japan. The chemistry was so good that instead of him continuing his "Anthem to the Streets" series we kicked off "The BC Era" series which also included "The BC Era Deuce"
He gave me a real shot to show my talent to the world and I am ever thankful for the opportunity that working with him afforded me. What most people don't know about Creek is that he is actually a dope producer in his own right, so getting him to accept a beat can be trying at times...so it actually pushed me to get alot better than I was! He has a new project coming out soon called "The Day it All Made Sense" I have heard most of it and it's definitely worth your download! The future will more than likely see us working together (hopefully to close out the BC Era series)....People ask me about his label situation all the time and I will tell you like I tell them.....just listen to the music...I never intended "Miracle" to be a single or have a video for it. After I finished the track I took it to BGOV studio and asked him to jump on it if he was feelin it...he did so he laced me up with a nice 16. Everyone I let hear it loved it! Bobby Creekwater, real name Antione Rogers, was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. He attended Clark Atlanta University for one year before leaving to pursue his music career. He and Charlie Hustle formed the hip hop duo Jatis, which was signed to Columbia Records and then Loud Records, but Loud was shut down before Jatis could release an album.

As an unsigned artist in 2004, Creekwater appeared with Aasim on the song "Anyway", from P-Money's album Magic City. Creekwater was noticed by Shady Records when label executives heard him rapping on a demo by Aasim. Shady Records president Eminem was more interested in Creekwater than Aasim and, in July of 2005, signed him to his label.

In late 2005, Creekwater released a mixtape, Anthem to the Streets, which was hosted by DJ Don Cannon of the Aphiliates. With more than 250,000 copies distributed worldwide, it has easily become one of the greatest mixtapes numbers-wise of all time. Newsweek described the recording in positive terms, saying it "delivers drug-peddling tales over the cheeriest possible tracks. Sesame Street sings crack rap."

In March 2006, he was one of the celebrity panelists at the Detroit Hip-Hop Summit on Financial Empowerment, joined by the likes of Russell Simmons, Eminem, 50 Cent, among others.

On December 5, 2006, Eminem released "Eminem Presents the Re-Up", a mixtape-turned-album created to promote Shady Records' newest members: Stat Quo, Creekwater, and Cashis. The album has gone on to sell more than 2.8 million copies worldwide. Creekwater appears on five tracks, including remixes of Eminem and Nate Dogg's "Shake That" and Eminem and Akon's "Smack That". The album received mixed reviews. The Los Angeles Times wrote that Creekwater "sounds like a demonic Andr√© 3000", and the New York Daily News said he "has a deep tone and a smooth enough flow, revealed best on the jazz-funk 'There He Is'." The Sunday Mercury wrote that Creekwater is "easily the best of the three" new signings.

In 2007 he released two mixtapes, "Anthem 2 Da Streetz II", which was hosted by DJ Cannon of the Aphilliates and "Back to Briefcase", which was hosted by DJ Infamous of The Aphilliates. Collectively, the two mixtapes have been distributed more than 350,000 times worldwide. The Washington Post's critic, in writing about the single "Acid Reign", said Creekwater "threatens to usurp T.I.'s throne as King of the South with effortless rhymes and slow-burning brio."

On Halloween of 2008, "The B.C. Era", was released solely online. In its first week, The B.C. Era, was downloaded over 50,000 times and is standing at over 220,000 downloads to date. Following up "The B.C. Era" was "The B.C. Era Deuce" was released in March 2009 and it was also released solely online. To date, "The B.C. Era Deuce" has moved over 290,000 units.

Creek is currently working on his latest EP "The Day It All Made $ense", and it is set to be released late August 2009.

So after a long hiatus of soul searching and trying to figure out (listening to God) what my next move is gonna be I have decided on a couple of things...First of all I am officially working on my next project, the long talked about "The Be Strong Lp" I am two songs deep and writing to the third as we speak. The project is being created as a tool for those who are or attempting to follow a dream. I will give much insight on what it has been like to do something like that as well as the spiritual journey I have been undertaking in the process. I will be producing most of it as usual but this time you can look for some tracks from my homie "Lik", KillaHurtz and some others to be named later...not really sure about the guest appearances but I'm sure that Wizdom will be on there somewhere.LOL..Lot of other things goin on with the production as well..Look out for the new Donnis mixtape dropping in August. Bobby Creekwater has a new project "The Day it All Made Sense" dropping as well but at the moment I haven't done anything for it...hopefully we can align schedules and make that happen before it drops...Either way what I heard is dope and you guys will definitely like it. Wizdom is dropping the first installment of his new mixtape series "Proof of Life" in the next week or so also..check him out at wizdom4eva.blogspot.com I just saw the art work and it's bananas!!! "the legendary ashton" did his thing as usual. Just finished up a whole bunch of music with Chris (Japan) also. We just put together a new group that I will be telling you guys about in the near future...when you get a chance google an artist named Sai Bills..I am doing some things with him as I write this...ummm...oh and if you are a Nappy Roots fan there will be a D.Focis track on there new album dropping this fall. Grand Hustle has been showing a lot of interest as of late also so keep your fingers crossed and prayers up for that one. First of all let me say this at this moment in time this is the highlight of my professional career as a music producer. I thank God for this moment. It is in times like these that I truly understand his power. I have been fortunate to see many dreams come true in my lifetime and for that I am so thankful. What you see below is the biggest Hip Hop artist in Japan (Zeebra) performing a single I produced for him (Stop Playin a Wall) in front of about 30 thousand people. It's every producers dream that this little idea that I made in my bedroom would somehow be heard and appreciated by the masses, or even the world. I remember when the video would come on MTV everyday all day in Japan and I was just in awe that it was happening. Me and my partner Ashton (who plays guitar on the track) were finally validated in the fact that we were meant to be doing what we were doing with our lives.
